1Who We Are

SimpleConnect ("we", "us", "our") operates simpleconnect.cyou and sells prepaid travel eSIM data plans. For the purposes of data protection law, SimpleConnect is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

We provide this policy so you can make an informed decision before using the Website or placing an order. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

2Information We Collect

We only gather what is needed to sell and deliver your eSIM and to keep the Website working. This falls into three groups:

• Data created by your order. The plan purchased, order reference, purchase amount in USD, payment status, and the eSIM activation record showing whether a plan was installed or used.

We do not ask for, and do not store, your full card number, CVV, or online banking credentials at any point.

3How We Collect Information

Most data is collected directly from you when you place an order or contact us. We also receive payment confirmation details from PayPal so we know when to release your eSIM, and limited technical data automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the Website.

4How We Use Your Data

We use personal data for practical, limited purposes:

• to process your order, deliver your eSIM profile and QR code, and provide top-ups;
• to confirm payment through PayPal and issue refunds when a request is approved;
• to answer support messages and verify your identity for an order-related request;
• to prevent fraud, abuse of the refund policy, and unauthorized payment methods;
• to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations that apply to us;
• to send marketing only where you have opted in, as described in Clause 14.

5Legal Bases for Processing

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering the eSIM you bought), legitimate interests (securing the Website and preventing fraud), legal obligation (tax and financial records), and consent (optional marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting your orders).

6Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Website uses a small number of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that keep the cart and checkout working, and optional analytics cookies that help us understand which destinations are popular. Optional cookies are only set after you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can reject them or change your choice at any time.

8Payment Data & PayPal

All checkout is handled on PayPal's secure, encrypted payment platform. When you pay, your card or account credentials go directly to PayPal — SimpleConnect receives only a confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference needed to release your eSIM and process any refund.

Because we never hold your full payment details, there is no card data on our servers to compromise. Approved refunds are returned through PayPal to the original payment method. PayPal's use of your data during checkout is governed by the PayPal privacy notice shown at that step.

9Data Retention

We keep order and contact data only as long as necessary. Delivery and support records are typically retained while your plan is active and for a short period afterward to handle questions. Financial and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable law. Data used purely for marketing is kept until you unsubscribe, at which point it is removed promptly.

10Data Security

We protect personal data with sensible technical and organizational measures: encrypted HTTPS connections across the Website, access limited to staff who need it, and secure hosting with regular monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and, in the unlikely event of a data breach affecting you, we will meet our notification duties under applicable law.

Because we serve travelers worldwide and use global providers such as PayPal, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting and payment partners operate. Where a transfer needs safeguards, we rely on recognized mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses or the protections built into our providers' own compliance programs.

13Children's Privacy

The Website and our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us through the contact form and we will delete it.

14Marketing Communications

We only send promotional emails about deals and destination guides if you opt in — the marketing checkbox on our contact and checkout forms is never pre-ticked. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and opting out stops marketing immediately without affecting order or delivery emails you need.
